Refund & Return Policy
We want you to be happy with every order from Dapper Potato Designs. Because we sell different kinds of products, our return terms vary by item type. If anything is unclear, please contact us — we're local and easy to reach.
Filament
Unopened spools may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund or exchange, as long as the packaging is intact and unopened. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to our error.
Opened spools cannot be returned for a refund. Once a vacuum-sealed spool is opened, the filament begins absorbing moisture, which affects print quality. However, we do buy back opened and used spools that still have at least 200g of material remaining, at a discount based on the rates listed on our Spool Buyback & Recycling page. Defective or damaged spools are covered below.
Defective or damaged items
If your order arrives damaged or defective, please email us within 3 days of delivery or pickup at our contact page with your order number and a photo. We'll make it right with a replacement or refund.
3D-printed items (in stock)
Ready-made 3D-printed products may be returned within 14 days if they are unused and in their original condition. Custom or personalized prints are covered under the next section.
Custom & made-to-order prints
Custom print requests are produced specifically for you, so they are non-returnable and non-refundable once production has begun, and any deposit is non-refundable at that point. If a custom item arrives defective or differs materially from the agreed specification, we will repair, reprint, or refund it. Please review your design, color, and specifications carefully before approving production.
How to start a return
Email us through our contact page with your order number and the reason for the return. We'll respond with next steps. Please don't ship anything back until we've confirmed your return.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Local pickup orders
For orders picked up in Windsor, CO, please inspect your items at pickup when possible. The same return terms above apply.
